INEZ, Ky. — A Martin County man faces a variety of charges after allegedly threatening to kill his daughter’s boyfriend.

A deputy met the person making the complaint at a local gas station, where she showed the officer messages sent to her by Danny Harris, 45, of Inez. The messages included a nude photo of the 15-year-old boyfriend sitting in a recliner, along with threats to kill the teen.

Deputies then interviewed the boyfriend, who told them Harris had attacked him and tried to choke him. The police report notes the teen had cuts and red marks on his face, neck and back.

Harris was arrested and charged with fourth-degree assault, terroristic threatening, and video voyeurism. He was also charged with felon in possession of a firearm after being found with a rifle, despite previous drug trafficking convictions.

Harris is lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville.
