PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A Martin County man has been convicted following a three-day trial on federal child pornography charges.

Donald York, 60, of Beauty, was convicted of four counts of producing and two counts of distributing child porn on Wednesday.

He had been charged with enticing a young girl or girls to engage in sexually-explicit conduct while he recorded it on four occasions in 2019 and 2020. It took the jury less than three hours to return a guilty verdict on all six charges.

York will be sentenced in August, when he faces between 15 and 30 years in prison for the production charges and between 5 and 20 years for the distributing charges. Under federal law, he could also be ordered to pay up to $50,000 in fines, as well as $3,000 or more in restitution for each victim.

York is being held in the Pike County Detention Center.
