HAZARD, Ky. — The shoe is on the other foot for Owsley County Sheriff Brent Lynch, who is being sought by police following a fight at a girls’ basketball game.

It all stems from a game last week between Owsley County and Perry County Central last week. During the game, players became involved in a fight and Lynch, who is part of the Owsley County coaching staff, is accused of assaulting one of the girls.

Lynch has now been charged with fourth-degree assault, and police are attempting to locate him.

Kentucky State Police Post 13 in Hazard is handling the investigation.
