RICHMOND, Ky. — A Pike County man has been arrested after he allegedly threatened to blow up Eastern Kentucky University.

Patrick Henry Hall, 46, of Canada, is charged with a felony count of terroristic threatening.

Court records indicate the charges stem from a phone call on Dec. 12. Hall was reportedly upset that his son had been suspended from EKU for academic reasons, and during a call with an academic adviser, he allegedly threatened to blow up the school and the adviser. He is also accused of threatening a senior counselor.

Hall was arrested Sunday evening and booked in the Pike County Detention Center. He was transferred to the Madison County Detention Center in Richmond Tuesday afternoon.

He is being held on a $10,000 full cash bond.

If convicted, he will face a sentence of 1-to-5 years in prison.
