PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A Pike County man is facing felony charges for allegedly attacking emergency room nurses.
Pikeville Police were called to Pikeville Medical Center early Saturday morning, over a report of an out-of-control in the emergency room.
When officers arrived, security personnel and emergency room staff informed them that Delbert Miller, 50, of Feds Creek, had assaulted three nurses and fought with security. The officers could see the nurses each had visible marks from being struck and grabbed.
Miller was arrested on three counts of third-degree assault of a health care provider. That charge is a felony, punishable by 1-to-5 years in prison.
He was released from jail the following afternoon after posting a $2,000 cash bond.
