Tiffany Nichole Blanton, 34, of Oil Springs, pleaded guilty in April to a single count of possession of meth with the intent to distribute. She was arrested last August, after she was found in a car, sitting on a backpack containing more than 86 grams of meth.

The charge carries a sentence of up to 20 years in prison, and she returned to court Monday to learn her fate. U.S. District Judge Karen Caldwell ordered Blanton to serve 58 months in prison.

The sentence does not end her legal troubles. When Kentucky State Police and U.S. Marshals went to arrest her following her indictment, they allegedly found her in possession of five bags containing a combined 3 grams of fentanyl and she was charged with fentanyl trafficking in Magoffin County. She has a status hearing in that case in October.
