PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A Pike County man is now indicating he plans to enter a guilty plea in a federal drug case.

Casey Larue Collins, 39, of Frozen Creek, was indicted last year on charges of distributing fentanyl in Floyd County on three occasions in 2022, distributing meth and fentanyl in Pike County last year, and possession of more than 50 grams of meth and more than 40 grams of fentanyl with the intent to distribute.

On Friday, he asked to be allowed to change his plea. That request does not indicate to what charges he plans to plead guilty.

The judge has canceled his trial and scheduled a rearraignment hearing for April 8.
