PIKEVILLE, Ky. — It took nearly six weeks, but a Pike County man found himself taken to jail after running from police back in June.
A state trooper attempted to pull over Thomas Dakota Diamond, 28, of Freeburn, back on June 28, after clocking him driving 80 mph in a 45 mph zone. Diamond was able to get away by driving on the wrong side of the road and passing vehicles in a no-passing zone.
On Sunday, a state trooper attempted to serve warrants on him, only for him to run away down an embankment before being captured.
Diamond now faces two counts of fleeing police along with a long list of traffic violations.
