Pike woman charged with pulling gun during argument

KIMPER, Ky. — A Pike County woman faces a felony charge, after allegedly pointing a gun at another woman.

The charge stems from an incident in a gas station parking lot at Kimper.

According to police, security video shows Kristen Chapman, 41, of Kimper, get into an argument with a woman in a car parked next to her. As the two women shouted at each other, Chapman allegedly pulled a gun from her waistband, pointed it at the other woman, and hit her in the chest with the muzzle. The video then shows the other woman knocking the gun to the ground, followed by the women punching each other.

Chapman was arrested and charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, which is punishable by up to five years in prison.
