Pike woman charged with taking more than $17,000 from company

PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A Pike County woman has been charged in a 36-count indictment, accusing her of taking money from a mining service and supply company.

Oynetta Robinette, 41, of Phyllis, is charged with five counts of theft and 31 counts of possession of a forged instrument.

The theft charges allege Robinette took money from Trey-K Mining and Electric from August of 2021 to September of 2022. The forged instrument charges list 31 checks totaling more than $17,000 that Robinette had, on which Trey-K president Keith Thacker’s name was forged.

Each charge is a felony, punishable by 1-to-5 years in prison if she is convicted.

Robinette is scheduled to be arraigned on the charges April 13.
