PIKEVILLE, Ky. — Pikeville Medical Center has announced its first baby of the year.

Hudson James Bentley was born to parents Hannah Adams and Tyler Bentley, of Pike County. He 6 lbs, 10 ounces and was 19.25 inches long.

Dr. Hayley Trimble delivered Hudson, and she presented the parents with a handmade quilt for being the first baby of the year.

That was just the beginning of the prizes, which included a number of other items donated by area businesses and a waiver of all medical costs not covered by insurance.
