Police investigate church vandalism

ASHCAMP, Ky. — Kentucky State Police troopers are investigating after a Pike County church was vandalized Monday night.

KSP Post 9 received a call around 9:30 of vandalism inside the Union Association Building of the Old Regular Baptist Church in Ashcamp.

Police say one or more people broke into the building, stole equipment and attempted to set the building on fire.

An arson investigator with Kentucky State Police was on-site Tuesday investigating the burning of a church pew. The FBI is also assisting at the scene.
