BELFRY, Ky. — A state trooper called to a report of a domestic dispute Friday ended up taking both parties to jail for drug trafficking.
According to court records, Ashley Sipple, 32, of Belfry — who had just been released from jail the previous day — reported the altercation at a home on Compton Bottom just before 7 a.m. Friday.
When the officer arrived at the home, he found Kenneth Warren, 36, of Williamson, leaving out of the back door. Warren was detained and found to be in possession of a number of loose bills.
The trooper then talked to Sipple, who was trying to leave with a black bag. She told the officer she no longer wanted to press charges, but a search of her bag revealed three bags of meth and another bag of crack cocaine. She then told the officer that she and Warren had flushed more drugs down the toilet.
Both were arrested for drug trafficking and tampering with physical evidence.
Sipple was also charged with promoting contraband, after police say she was found with seven large bags of meth in her bra and underwear when she arrived at the jail.
