Fraud trial set to begin next week

PIKEVILLE, Ky. — Trial is scheduled to begin next week for a Pike County man accused of fraud.

Eugene Sisco III, 36, of Pikeville, faces federal charges of wire fraud and health care fraud.

He is accused for forcing patients at his drug treatment centers to pay cash for services already covered by Medicaid. He is also accused of requiring patients to undergo medically unnecessary urine tests at his drug testing lab.

In all, Sisco is accused of making more than $3 million from the alleged schemes.

Jury selection will begin Monday morning in Pikeville. Attorneys estimate the trial will last for eight days.
