Storz pleads not guilty to charges related to deadly standoff

PRESTONSBURG, Ky. — The man accused of killing three Floyd County police officers and a police dog during an armed standoff June 30 was arraigned in Floyd Circuit Court on Monday.



Lance Storz, 49, is charged with multiple counts of murder, attempted murder, assault and wanton endangerment. On Monday, he entered a plea of not guilty to the charges.

No trial date has yet been set, but Storz is scheduled to be back in court February 16th for a pretrial conference.
