BIG STONE GAP, Va. — A southwestern Virginia man is expected to enter a guilty plea next month in a federal drug conspiracy case.

Sherman Woods, 40, of Pennington Gap, has already signed a plea agreement admitting to conspiracy to distribute meth and suboxone. Woods is accused of distributing meth and suboxone from August of 2021 to March of this year.

If his plea goes through, he faces up to 20 years for the meth charge and 10 years for the suboxone charge.

He is expected in court Nov. 10 to finalize his plea.
