BANNER, Ky. — Two people were arrested in Floyd County Saturday, in connection with a jewelry theft in Pikeville last week.
Aaron Hall, 50, of Pikeville, and Shawnna Maynard, 44, of Banner, are each charged with receiving stolen property.
Police say the couple pawned jewelry stolen from Kay Jewelers last week.
When police went to arrest Maynard, she said Hall told her he had won the items in a poker game, but once she saw Facebook posts about the theft, she “started putting all the dots together.”
While police were talking to Maynard, they say Hall attempted to slip out the back door and ignored commands to stop. He was quickly arrested and placed in cuffs, earning him a charge of attempt to flee police.
Both were jailed in the Floyd County Detention Center.
