PRESTONSBURG, Ky. — Two Floyd County students are each facing a felony charge, after threats were made toward their schools.
The first incident happened Monday at Adams Middle School, while a second incident took place Wednesday at Prestonsburg Elementary.
Prestonsburg Police investigated both complaints and determined that minor students made threatening statements to classmates in both instances. However, they say no firearms were found in either case, and no students or staff were ever in imminent danger.
Both students have now been charged with second-degree terroristic threatening, a felony punishable by 1-to-5 years in jail.
