Pike County Schools moving to virtual next week

PIKEVILLE, Ky. — Following news that Pike County has moved into the critical stage of coronavirus transmission, Pike County Schools announced on Thursday that all in-person activities will be suspended until the county returns to a lower level.

That means all schools will move to virtual instruction, beginning Monday, Oct. 19. Students will report to school on Friday, Oct. 16, in order to transition to virtual learning.

In addition, all sports and extracurricular activities will be suspended, beginning Monday, Oct. 19.
