ABINGDON, Va. — A Wise County pair has pleaded guilty to charges connected to a meth and fentanyl drug ring, bringing the total number of convictions so far to four.

Cody Allen Rose, 35, of Pound, entered a guilty plea to one count of conspiracy to distribute more than 50 grams of meth and one count of conspiracy to distribute more than 40 grams of fentanyl Nov. 1. On Friday, Brittany Chantae Rose, 37, of Pound, did the same.

Back in August, authorities swept through Wise and surrounding counties, picking up 12 suspects who were charged in the case. A court affidavit alleges that some of the defendants allegedly acted as mid-level suppliers who would obtain large amounts of drugs in other states, then distribute locally themselves and through street-level dealers. The drug ring is alleged to have operated from 2021 to 2024.

Four people have now pleaded guilty in connection to the drug ring, following pleas by Matthew Ryan “Red” Addington, 40, and Ashley Linden Beverly Jr., 51, back in September.

Addington and Beverly are scheduled to be sentenced in January, while sentencing for the Roses is set for February.
