W.Va. offers help for water, sewer bills

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Applications are now open for low-income West Virginia residents who need help paying water and sewer bills.

Under the federally-funded Low-Income Household Water Assistance Program, households making 60 percent or less of the state median income can get help paying water and sewer bills. For a family of four, that means monthly income must be below $3,855, while a household of two could not make more than $2,621 a month.

Those interested in applying can call (304) 352-4431.

Applications will be accepted until funds are exhausted.
