From the Whitesburg Police Department:

The Whitesburg Police Department will be conducting traffic safety checkpoints periodically throughout the month of May.

These checkpoints will be conducted in an effort to enforce the traffic and regulatory laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Traffic safety checkpoints are a way for the Whitesburg Police Department to improve highway safety throughout the community.

The main goal is to increase the safety of the citizens within the Commonwealth and the City of Whitesburg.

Traffic safety checkpoints will be located along U.S. 119 near Howard’s Carpet.
