PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A Pike County couple has been arrested after being indicted on child abuse charges.

Danny Waddles, 29, and Candace Triplett, 28, both of Horseshoe Drive in Pikeville, were indicted last week on four counts of abuse.

According to the indictment, they are accused of abusing or allowing the abuse of four children under the age of 12. The charges are Class D felonies, punishable by up to five years in prison.

Waddles was also charged with murder last year in Floyd County. That case remains pending before a grand jury.

Waddles and Triplett are currently being held in the Pike County Detention Center.
