
LONDON, Ky. — A Knott County man who was found guilty of federal drug and gun charges after representing himself in his trial has now been sentenced to 12-and-a-half years in prison.
Michael Nolan Slone, 37, of Mousie, was convicted of possession of more than 50 grams of meth with the intent to distribute, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug crime, possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number.
He was arrested in March of 2021 after a state trooper found him passed out in his car at a Hindman gas station. That arrest resulted in the discovery of two gun and more than 100 grams of meth.
Slone was previously convicted of first-degree robbery and attempted murder in Floyd County back in 2011, as well as third-degree burglary and other charges in Floyd County last year.
