PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A Johnson County man facing federal charges after he was arrested for drug trafficking last year is now set to enter a guilty plea.

Timothy Morman, 54, of Flat Gap, is charged with possession with the intent to distribute meth, fentanyl, cocaine and oxycodone, along with using a gun in a drug crime and felon in possession of a firearm.

He was arrested 13 months ago after the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office received a tip and obtained a search warrant for his home. During the raid, they found meth, heroin, fentanyl, cocaine, LSD and marijuana.

He was set to go on trial next month, but on Thursday, he filed a motion asking to change his plea, saying he had reached a plea deal with prosecutors. The motion does not specify the details of that agreement.

No date has yet been set for his rearraignment.
