
STAFFORDSVILLE, Ky. — A Johnson County teen has been arrested for allegedly assaulting his mother and sister.
Police were called to a home on Grassy Creek Road, at Staffordsville, by a juvenile who said her brother was on top of her mother, assaulting and strangling her.
When police arrived, they found Russell Wheeler, 18, being held in a headlock by his father, who said he was trying to keep him from further acts of violence.
Wheeler’s mother reported that he choked her, and her arm was believed to be broken due to severe bruising and swelling. His sister also told police he had also punched and bitten her.
Wheeler was arrested and charged with second-degree assault, fourth-degree assault, strangulation, wanton endangerment and other charges. He is being held on a $10,000 cash bond.
