LEXINGTON, Ky. — A Floyd County man has been sentenced after pleading guilty to federal drug and gun charges.

Bradford Hunt, 51, of Hi Hat, pleaded guilty back in August to possession of controlled substances with the intent to distribute and using a firearm in a drug trafficking crime.

Hunt was arrested in October of 2022, when Floyd County deputies went to serve a warrant at home on Toler Creek and he was found outside with more than a quarter-pound of meth, along with bags of fentanyl, heroin, Suboxone and oxycodone and two guns.

He appeared in Lexington federal court on Monday, where he was sentenced to 180 months for the drug charges and 60 months for the gun charge, for a total of 20 years.

Hunt is currently being held in the Clark County Detention Center in Winchester, awaiting transfer to the federal prison system.
