Reckless driving stop leads to drug trafficking arrest

STOPOVER, Ky. — An Ohio man was arrested Monday in Pike County on drug trafficking charges.

Pierre Lidge, 25, of Akron, Ohio, was pulled over for reckless driving on Route 194 at Stopover Monday afternoon.

During the stop, a police dog alerted officers to the presence of drugs in the car. A search turned up what was described as a large amount of meth, as well as a smaller amount of marijuana and a handgun.

Lidge was arrested and charged with meth and marijuana trafficking and possession of handgun by a convicted felon.
