PIKEVILLE, Ky. — Pikeville firefighters are being hailed as heroes for going to great lengths — and heights — to rescue a lost dog.

A Pikeville family had been searching for their three dogs who had gotten away from their downtown home. On Saturday, one of the dogs, Luna, was spotted trapped on a cliff overlooking the Pikeville Bypass.

Pikeville Fire Department used its ladder truck to get up to Luna and bring her down safely.

The owner has reportedly been reunited with all three dogs.
