DAVID, Ky. — Firefighters responded to a fatal residential fire at David Sunday morning.

It happened at Buckeye Branch. David and Middle Creek fire departments responded to the call. They remain on the scene, but the fire now appears to be under control.

Floyd County Coroner Greg Nelson was also on the scene and told Mountain Top News that he could confirm at least one death.
