POUND, Va. — A man and woman wanted in a pair of stabbings in southwestern Virginia have been arrested.

Gwendolyn Faye Nelson, 29, and Bennie Donald Hicks Jr., 42, turned themselves in to the Pound Police Department.

The two were wanted in connection with a man who was beaten with a baseball bat and then stabbed last Wednesday, and a woman who was stabbed and assaulted later the same day.

Both are charged with aggravated malicious wounding and conspiracy to commit aggravated malicious wounding. Nelson is also charged with two counts of attempted murder.
