UPDATE, 9:18 p.m.: Mountain Top News has now learned that the body of a man has been pulled from the river. The Pike County Coroner’s Office is on the scene.

The identity of the victim has not yet been released. We are only being told at this time that it is a white male.

ORIGINAL STORY: ELKHORN CITY, Ky. — Rescue crews are searching the Russell Fork River after a 19-year-old man went missing during heavy storms passing through the region.

A source close to the effort tells Mountain Top News that Millard Fire & Rescue has a boat on the water in the Ratliff Hole area searching for the man.
