PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A Knott County man will appear in court next week to answer a federal meth trafficking charge.

Danny Slone, 52, of Pippa Passes, was indicted Jan. 23 on a single count of distributing more than 50 grams of meth. If convicted, he could face a sentence of between five and 40 years in prison.

He is scheduled to appear in U.S. District Court in Pikeville on Tuesday for initial appearance and arraignment.
