WHITESBURG, Ky. — A former Letcher County teacher has been arrested after being indicted for charges related to an inappropriate relationship with a child.

Brian Wesley Bailey, 54, who now lives in Benham, in Harlan County, was arrested on Friday. He is charged with third-degree rape, tampering with physical evidence and three counts of possession of child porn.

Bailey previously taught at Whitesburg Middle School.

He is now being held in the Letcher County Jail on a $250,000 cash bond.
