SALYERSVILLE, Ky. — A former Magoffin County middle school teacher has pleaded guilty a second time to charges related to sexual messages he sent to a 14-year-old student.

Jordan Cobb, 32, of Salyersville, pleaded guilty Thursday to procuring the use of a minor by electronic means and harassing communications in Magoffin Circuit Court.
He admitted to engaging in a conversation with a 14-year-old former student over Snapchat in May of 2023. During that conversation, Cobb sent the child a series of sexually explicit messages, which included nude photos of himself and requests for the girl to have sex with him.
“It takes extraordinary courage for a young person to speak out—especially when it means standing up to someone in power,” said Kentucky Attorney General Russell Coleman, whose office prosecuted the case. “I commend this brave young woman and our law enforcement and prosecutor partners who worked to ensure this predator is behind bars.”
Cobb previously pleaded guilty to a federal charge of online enticement back in October. He was sentenced to 11 years in prison in that case.
When making his plea in Magoffin Circuit Court, he agreed to a five-year sentence which will be served as the same time as his federal sentence.
He will be formally sentenced June 5.
