GARRETT, Ky. — Two men were arrested on drug trafficking charges, following a traffic stop in Floyd County over the weekend.
Deputies were conducting a drug investigation in Garrett on Saturday, when they observed a car stop at a home that had been mentioned in several drug tips. Two men were seen leaving the house with a box a short time later.
Deputies followed and pulled the car over after noticing it swerve. Using police dog Bear, the deputies discovered what was described as a large amount of marijuana in the box, along with a gun. Elsewhere in the car they found a bag of cocaine.
Arrested were Devan Bush, 34, of Lexington, and David Hood, 29, of Prestonsburg.
Both are charged with trafficking more than half a pound of marijuana and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Hood was also charged with cocaine possession.
