COAL RUN VILLAGE, Ky. — Two men were arrested early Monday morning, after one of them said they were just trying to have a little Fourth of July fun, before figuring out it was a bad idea.
That fun turned out to be firing guns at a utility pole, with homes directly behind it.
Police were called to the Daniel Boone in Coal Run, over reports of two men shooting guns outside. When police arrived, the men had returned to their rooms, but police tracked down Stephen Hill, 28, of Louisville, and Dieter Torres, 28, of Arkansas.
Both men were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and wanton endangerment. The wanton endangerment charge is a felony, punishable by up to five years in prison.
Torres was also charged while public intoxication, while Hill was also charged with meth possession and possession of a defaced firearm.
