Ky. COVID numbers continue drop

FRANKFORT, Ky. — Coronavirus cases in Kentucky continued their downward trend on Monday, as the state reported a positivity rate below 12 percent for the third day in a row.

There were just shy of 2,000 new cases reported on Monday, bringing the total to more than 328,000.

Forty more Kentuckians have died, raising the death toll to 3,167.

The number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 has dropped below 1,600, with 397 in intensive care and 208 on ventilators.

The state’s positivity rate is currently 11.64 percent.
