INEZ, Ky. — A Martin County man is facing the possibility of a 20-year prison sentence, after allegedly shooting a neighbor over a longstanding argument.

Noah Bowen Jr., 66, of Inez, is charged with first-degree assault over the incident which occurred Friday morning.

Sheriff John Kirk tells Mountain Top News that Bowen and the victim, who live along the same road, have been arguing over CB radio for several years. It came to a head when they agreed to meet to settle their differences.

Once they met in person, the argument continued until Bowen allegedly shot the other man. The victim was taken to a hospital, where he remains in intensive care.

Bowen remains in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center, under a $25,000 bond.
