
The Prestonsburg Lady Blackcats closed out the regular season with a commanding 9-1 win over the Perry Central Lady Commodores Tuesday night.
Senior standout Jade Fitzpatrick led the way, scoring seven goals and adding an assist to finish the regular season with 53 goals. Jada Burleson and Paisly Slone each added a goal and an assist, while Kendyl Stephens contributed three assists.
Freshman goalkeeper Savana Briggs held strong in net, turning away four shots and allowing just one goal. Individual stats for Perry Central players were not available at press time.
The win caps Prestonsburg’s regular season at 11-6-1, as the Lady Blackcats now turn their focus to the postseason.
Elsewhere in girls soccer Tuesday night, Johnson Central blanked Letcher Central 8-0, Martin County topped Russell 3-2, Paintsville and Hazard played to a 0-0 draw, and Pikeville defeated Knott Central 8-0.
