
The Martin County Lady Cardinals dominated Tuesday night on the road, rolling past Menifee County 8-0 in girls soccer action.
Junior standout Faith Caldwell was unstoppable, scoring five goals and assisting on another. Freshman Jaz Jude provided plenty of support with a hat trick of her own.
Martin County’s attack was balanced, with Maja Alm-Arnesen dishing out three assists, Hope Caldwell adding two and Annaleigh Davis chipping in one. Goalkeeper Brianna Muncy held down the defense with 10 saves to preserve the shutout.
The Lady Cards return home Sept. 11 to face Prestonsburg at 6:30 p.m.
Around the region Tuesday, Johnson Central blanked Hazard 8-0, while Letcher Central downed Perry Central 5-1.
