HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL: Floyd Central, Valley drop home games

Floyd Central saw a fourth-quarter lead slip away as Cordia rallied for a 69-63 in a game played at FCHS Gymnasium on Monday night.

Ronnie Sammons paced the Jaguars, now 1-4, with 22 points and Tanner Hall followed with 15. Bradon Moore chipped in nine.

Shelby Valley landed four players in double figure scoring but it was not enough as the Wildcats dropped a 72-67 decision to Magoffin County in a game played at the Shelby Valley Sports Center on Monday night.

Kaden Robinson led the Wildcats, now, 6-3, with 19 points. Chaz Brown followed with 16 while Keian Worrix tallied 15. Zack Johnson chipped in 10.

The Wildcats will host East Ridge (4-2) on Feb. 4. The Hornets, now 3-3, will play at Fairview (1-6) on Jan. 26.
