PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A Letcher County man is heading to prison, after pleading guilty to a federal drug charge.
Roger Lee Miles, 52, was arrested in 2019, after a search of his home turned up more than 50 grams of meth. He later admitted to police that he had obtained a pound of the drug from a source in Louisville, and he intended to distribute it.
Back in April, Miles pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of meth with the intent to distribute. He returned to U.S. District Court in Pikeville on Thursday to learn his fate and was sentenced to seven-and-a-half years in prison.
He is currently being held in the Pike County Detention Center.
