Logan deputies stop Christmas Eve break-in

LOGAN, W.Va. — Logan County deputies were called to a report of someone sneaking into a home on Christmas Eve, and it wasn’t Santa Claus.

When deputies arrived at the home on Guyandotte Road, the found Kenneth Ray Farley, 23, standing at the back of the house.

After speaking with the homeowner, they learned that Farley had allegedly smashed through a sliding glass door to gain entry into the house, then allegedly shattered another door inside the home.

Farley was arrested and charged with burglary, petit larceny, destruction of property and trespassing. He is currently being held in the Southwest Regional Jail, in Holden.
