SALYERSVILLE, Ky. — A Magoffin County deputy investigating a theft case ended up not only finding the missing items, but also making an arrest for heroin trafficking.

The deputy received a tip that he could find a stolen saddle and other items at the home of 36-year-old Brandon Dale Minix. He not only found the items, he also spotted two bags of suspected heroin, along with marijuana, bags of pills, a syringe containing a clear liquid and a set of scales.

Minix was arrested and charged with heroin trafficking, possession of drugs and paraphernalia, and receiving stolen property.
