A Pike County man has been charged in connection to a weekend burglary at Johns Creek Elementary School. Kentucky State Police officials say 21 year old Cory Price, a former student at the school, broke into the school early Sunday morning. Price was seen on various surveillance cameras for nearly two hours inside the school, breaking into classrooms and stealing cash from teachers’ desks. The burglary was noticed Monday morning by teachers as they arrived to their classrooms. Troopers say Price, who was identified from the video footage, confessed to the burglary when questioned. He was charged with third degree burglary, a class D felony. Price is scheduled to appear in court next month on the charges.
