PRESTONSBURG, Ky. — Prestonsburg city officials are done asking nicely for people to keep motorized vehicles off of the Prestonsburg Passage trail.

They are now looking to make an example of one person in particular.

The Passage is reserved for pedestrians and bicyclists. But police say this man shown in the picture was not only riding a dirt bike on the trail, he was pushing cyclists out of the way as he rode at a high rate of speed.

Now they are asking the public to help identify him, and they plan to put him in jail once that happens. Anyone with information about the man’s identity is asked to call Prestonsburg Police at (606) 886-1010.

Police say they will immediately begin heavy saturation patrols of the trail to keep motorized traffic off, as well as crack down on any ATVs operating illegally on any roadway.
