
PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A Pike County man is in jail after being accused of raping a child.
Jeremy Jewell, 33, of Pikeville, is charged with one count of first-degree rape. Court records allege that he raped a child younger than 12 back in March of 2023, but provide no additional information.
Jewell is scheduled to appear in court next Thursday for a preliminary hearing.
He is being held in the Pike County Detention Center on a $50,000 cash bond.
