ASHLAND, Ky. — A Pike County man has pleaded guilty to producing child pornography.

Lonnie James Maynard, 54, of Raccoon, appeared in U.S. District Court in Ashland on Monday, where he entered his guilty plea. In doing so, he admitted that he communicated with a boy through Snapchat, convincing the youth to send him an explicit photo and video.

Maynard now faces a sentence of between 15 and 30 years in prison. He will be back in Ashland federal court for sentencing Dec. 8.
