How to order free at-home COVID tests

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The federal government has begun taking orders for free at-home COVID tests.

Under the program, each household in the U.S. can order four free tests.

The tests are the rapid versions, not the PCR tests, and provide results within 30 minutes without being sent to a lab.

To order the tests, simply go to covidtests.gov and provide mailing address.

The tests will start going out in the mail at the end of this month.
